The Settlement Elementary School has an excellent staff for our youth to obtain a great learning experience. The teachers of Elizabeth Settlement want an open atmosphere for the children and public to feel free and comfortable while at the school.

The EMS school is under the Northland School Division # 61 in Peace River, Alberta. The building has nine classrooms from grades ECS to grade eight and holds 115 students. The school employs’ nine teachers, one special aid assistant, one part-time secretary and one principle. We have a cree teacher so that the children do not lose their native tongue, we also have a built-in kitchen, were the children eat in their classrooms. Our principle and teachers want to make our children’s learning experience, rewarding and would like to see all the youth succeed.

After completing grade eight, the students go on to further their education at the Assumption Jr/Sr High School that is located right in the City of Cold Lake to finish their grade twelve. There is also the new High School that was recently moved to the Energy Centre located past the Cold Lake mall.
