All of the services and equipment are operated by the members of the Elizabeth Settlement and are owned by the Administration Office under the control of council and the administrator. Owning a sand truck, grader, and bobcat allows our community to have safe and reliable roads to drive on. All departments including housing, finance, public works and education work together to insure that the member’s needs are being met.
The R.C.M.P. would be another contact, both the police and Fire Department can be contacted if there as ever an emergency by calling 911. The R.C.M.P. takes random drives out to the Elizabeth Settlement to insure that our community is safe.
Water & Garbage
Water is distributed to each household weekly on their scheduled days. Additional water supply cost fifty dollars per load. Throughout the Settlement there are garbage bins for the public’s use, when they are needed.

Working along side of Capital works, housing, and the water treatment plant, we are able to achieve the goals of the Settlements maintenance, water distribution, sewer and making sure that each house hold is operating smoothly. In the winter months, Public Works employs three men thoughout the season and in the summer months, they have up to seven men working the heavy duty equipment around the Settlement. We are in the makings of hirer a new firer chief and having all the men receive their medical and safety tickets in case of injury.
The nearest local Fire Department from Elizabeth Settlement is in Cold Lake which is approximately 30 kilometres away. To reach them for any emergency, please call 911!!
