The housing of Elizabeth Metis Settlement is administered through the Infrastructure/Utilities department and funding is also provided by the Settlement. All renovations and new homes are handled by the Director ans administered through a policy which has set guidlines for qualifications for a new home or renovations. One strategy that is implemented in the community is a housing board that has the process of screening and selecting the individual who shall receive a home. The process of a renovation is undertaken by the Director based on the condition and age of the dwelling.
